Overview of PAR (Payment Account Reference)
The PAR (Payment Account Reference) was defined by Mastercard and Visa. It allows linking all tokens associated with the same payment card, even if they are generated across different devices or channels.
Use Case
When a buyer uses their card across multiple quotes, several tokens may be generated. Thanks to the PAR, all these tokens are linked to a single card, making it easier to track and analyze transactions.
Monext Integration
Monext offers the ability to retrieve and display the PAR, which is transmitted by the authorization server.
This enables the merchant to:
- - Search for transactions using the PAR as a criterionrequest.
- - Display the PAR in the details of transactions linked to the PAR.
- - View all transactions associated with a card, regardless of the device used.
Next Step
Integrate the PAR criterion into the fraud module to enhance detection rules and improve multi-device fraud prevention.
